Dr. Sandra Pauletto

Sandra Pauletto is Associate Professor in Media Technology in the Interaction Design Department at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. She has a background in physics, music and music technology. Her research interests are in sound and music computing, sonification, sound design and sonic interaction design. Pauletto has worked on a number of sonification projects often using health related data. She works with interactive methods to allow for personalised explorations of sonification works and for ways to metaphorically “grasp” and observe data. Her publications reflect the interdisciplinary nature of her research and practice spanning between science and arts and humanities. Pauletto worked as a researcher and lecturer at Loughborough and Huddersfield University, and was a lecturer and then senior lecturer in sound design at the University of York from 2007-2018.
