What information do we collect?

We collect your answers to our questions around listening.

You are not obliged to register or divulge any personal information to take part in this participatory section. If you are responding to this question as a school pupil it is for comparative purposes interesting for us to know your year group, but you are not obliged to tell us about that.

If you have provided your name and email we will never publicise or share this information with anybody else.


We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We use your answers to the listening questions to help us understand more about listening as an everyday practice and form of communication. We are interested to explore how listening contributes to our understanding of the world and how we live in it; to come to understand what people’s ideas are about listening and the heard, how it is interpreted and valued; to study the general awareness to listening and hearing, and how people communicate their ideas about listening and hearing in writing.

If you have provided us with any personal information we will not share this with anybody else or use it to contact you. If you have provided us with an email address we will not use it to deliver additional content to you.
