Dr. Susan Schuppli

Senior Lecturer / Deputy Director, Centre for Research Architecture, Goldsmiths University of London

Susan Schuppli is an artist and researcher based in London. Creative audio projects such as Uneasy Listening have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2016), Witte de With (2015), and Casino Luxemburg (2014). The Sound Sand will be presented at KARST in June 2016. Tape. Other audio installations and sound projects include Tape 342 (Galerie Wedding, Berlin and The Kitchen, NY), Life Under Drones (Artliner Wind Tunnel Project), F/EAR, (From Above & Below, The Mosaic Rooms), Pick Up! (Art Gallery of Hamilton, Phony (SAAG) and Signal and Noise, (Video In, Vancouver). She has published widely within the context of media and politics and is author of the forthcoming book, Material Witness (MIT Press). She is Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of the Centre for Research Architecture, Goldsmiths and was previously Senior Research Fellow on the ERC project Forensic Architecture. Schuppli is a 2016 recipient of the ICP Infinity Award.
